Event Guidelines 

The East2West Arts & Craft Market is produced by The Parrish Arts Council, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization dedicated to promoting the arts in our community and neighboring areas.  We appreciate our generous event sponsor, the Bradenton Area Arts & Culture and the many area businesses that provide resources to host this event.  

 

This event is designed to showcase local artists to the community! All artist participants and volunteers will need to be registered and receive a name tag to gain access to the Art Market.  

 

Artist Registration:  Please submit your application and three pictures that are a representation of your artwork by using the form on this page.  

 

Jury Acceptance & Guidelines  

  • Only original artwork - No mass-produced art- unless copies by the original artist

  • No explicit nudity

  • No political subject matter 

East2West Art Market showcases a wide array of art forms while maintaining a respectful environment with restrictions on subject matter. If the jury decides that your artwork has not adhered to these guidelines, then you will  NOT be accepted to the Art Market and your entry fee will be refunded.  If you have any questions, email getinvolved@parrishartscouncil.org

Payment Deadlines: Sept 22nd for Earlybird Registration or October 30th for later registration.

Each artist must: register, pay the entry fee, and agree to abide by all requirements of the Manatee County Health Department or other government regulatory agencies while operating artist’s booths at the event. 

 

Event Marketing: We will provide all participants with digital marketing materials to post in email or social media venues so your followers know where you’ll be displayed. You may also print the materials to give to or mail to customers, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family. We will also advertise this event in social media and in newspapers. Your name/business name will be listed on the event page on our website.

Event Details: Maximum of two artists in a booth.  No raffles are permitted at this event by individuals, artists or organizations other than the Parrish Arts Council, as this is a fundraiser for the Parrish Arts Council. There is free wi-fi for artists to use to take credit card payments. If you do not feel comfortable using the free wi-fi, then you will need to have your own cell connection. You will NOT need to remove your artwork on Saturday night. The room will be locked and secure. Participation is expected for both days. 

 

What will be provided - two 8-foot tables, tablecloths, table skirts & up to two chairs (if marked on form). The booths are 12' x 12'.  This is an indoor event. Electricity is provided on a limited basis. No water provided. Cars must be parked in designated areas behind the loading dock. Artists or a representative of the artist must be present in the booth throughout the duration of the event. No artist will be allowed to sell items without a booth space.
 

Set-up & Breakdown: Set-up begins at 7:30 AM Saturday, November 22nd. All booths must be set-up by 9:30 AM.  For the consideration of our event participants, break-down of the booths will NOT begin until 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 23rd. Artists are responsible for cleaning their area before leaving.  Participation is expected for both days.   

 

Insurance: It is your responsibility to choose to carry insurance for your service. The Parrish Arts Council, event volunteers, and the Bradenton Area Convention Center assume no responsibility for damaged or stolen items, any injury or other loss. Artist assumes all responsibility for and all risk of damage or injury that may occur to the applicant or its employees during participation in the East2West Arts & Craft Market. In consideration of being accepted as an artist in the East2West Arts & Craft Market, the applicant hereby releases and discharges the Parrish Arts Council, its Members and Agents from all claims, demands, rights of causes of action present or future whether known, anticipated or unanticipated, and resulting from or arising out of an incident to the applicant’s participation in the East2West Arts & Craft Market. 

 

Artist Sales & Sales Tax ID: Any sales that you make at this event are yours to keep. It is your responsibility to complete your obligation of having a valid Florida Sales Tax Identification number, and pay sales tax as needed.  

 

Refund Policy Following Acceptance: This event is a fundraiser for the Parrish Arts Council. The funds will go directly towards supporting the event and other organizational efforts. No refunds will be given to anyone for any reason after acceptance, including booth cancelation or inclement weather.  

 

Advertising Opportunities 

Each year, we offer a digital event program. The attendees will be able to download a QR code and have the event program on their phone or tablet. It will also be displayed during the whole event on a large screen at the entrance of the Art Market. The event program will list all artists with their name and medium, event sponsors and participant’s ads. 

 

We also have great raffle baskets, thanks to our sponsors and artists.  If you would like to donate artwork, a gift card or art supplies, please let us know.  The raffles help raise money so we can keep the booth prices low for this two-day event.   

 

If artists would like to advertise their booth or offer a discount, they can purchase a program ad.  An example of a discount would be “10% off any purchase at your booth during the East2West Arts & Craft Market”.  The discount could then be included in your program ad.

If you are interested in advertising, please indicate on application and pay for your ad at the bottom of this page. We will contact you for additional information. You will need two images of your logo; a black and white one and a color one, if you have one.

Artist Sponsorship Option 

We are trying something new in 2025 and this is exciting! Local businesses will have the opportunity to sponsor an artist in one of the booths. This gives the artist an opportunity to participate in the East2West Arts & Craft Market without paying the entry fee. The Fundraising committee of the Parrish Arts Council will be soliciting sponsors and giving them an option to select an artist or allowing us to pair them with an artist. You can also solicit a sponsor for yourself. 

 

For this opportunity, please email getinvolved@parrishartscouncil.org or indicate on your application that you’d like to apply for one of the sponsored artist booths. Sponsors will have the ability to add signage in your booth in recognition of their sponsorship.
