The Giving Challenge is an exciting 24-hour online giving event that connects about 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties.
Since 2012, the Giving Challenge has acted as a catalyst for connection and provided more than $92 million in unrestricted funding to our nonprofit community over nine challenges.
Being a part of the Giving Challenge can transform nonprofit organizations through meaningful relationships and partnerships, all while strengthening their potential reach.
The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation.

Our Mission
Parrish Arts Council (PAC) serves Parrish and the surrounding communities. PAC is dedicated to building and enriching the community through the ARTS.
2026 Programs that need funding:
Artfully Angels features workshops at area senior homes including Riviera Palms Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Loveland Center. We also create cards to be mailed to our Veterans. All materials are provided to the participants.
Youth Workshops are offered monthly at no cost to the participants. Funding is needed for the art supplies. The workshops are run by volunteers.
General & Operational funding is needed to be able to give back and collaborate with the community. We have basic operational needs such as accounting software, Social Media & website, insurance, and general supplies for our activities. We would really love to find a physical space so we are more present and offer classes.
Paint Around is a yearly fundraiser featuring five local artists collaborating to create five unique pieces of artwork in about 2hrs. Participating artists donate their time and supplies for the event. The event is open to the public at no charge. Funding needed is for location and supplies for the event. Seventy percent of the proceeds go to a local school.
