The Parrish Arts Council (PAC) was created by a group of local art enthusiasts.  PAC started with the history of Parrish and pioneer family research in 2012 and then in 2013 PAC was established as a non-profit.  They put on their first production in 2013 with 'Red Rooster Tales'.  Historical plays about Parrish, with some embellishments.

In 2014, we hosted the first music and art festival at the Florida Railroad Museum (later known as Art Market) and began exhibiting art at the Friends of the Rocky Bluff Library.

In 2015, members of PAC participated in the first Harrison Ranch Arts Guild Paint Off.

In 2016, PAC members created a historic Parrish diorama & mural at the History of Parrish Experience Museum (close in 2019).  We also spent the day at Duette Elementary School and taught an art workshop.  This was also the 30th Parrish Heritage Day Parade, to which we did participate in.

After having so much fun with the Paint Off's, we started our own annual Paint Around in 2017.  We also had our first Arts & Social we were invited the community to come and check out what we did.

In 2018, we started doing Plein Air activities and really enjoyed the Lemurs and Blackbeard Ranch. We expanded our exhibitions to the Manatee Performing Arts Center this year. We moved indoor for our annual East2West Art Market.  We hosted our first Photography Competition.

In 2019 an opportunity to work with the Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum came up with doing a Paint Around to benefit all 3 organizations.

2021 brought us a new place to exhibit and that was at the ComCenters of Lakewood Ranch.  We started our Artfully Angels program to create and donate cards for a local nursing home.  We continued with our Paint Arounds, East2West Art Market and other activities.

2022 was a building on what we've built.  Artfully Angels took off this year with 4 sessions.  We continued with our Paint Arounds, East2West Art Market and other activities.

2023 was again new locations for exhibitions.  Palma Sola received a grant to work with us on setting up an Art in the Park exhibition.  The River Wilderness Art Group invited us to display artwork in their club house.

2024 continue to brings us lots of activities.  We've expanded the Artfully Angels program to include Holiday cards for our over seas military.  There are 2 Plein Air activities a month that includes all types of mediums.  Our Paint Around and Esat2West Art Market staples are in our plans.
