ArtConversations! are a membership benefit.  Members and a guest are invited to come and share their skills, techniques or to teach.  We will have a full schedule this year.  We've added a few mini classes this year along with our traditional Work with your Medium.  Feel free to bring anyone that may be interested in learning more about the arts council or joining it. The is a casual social time, get to know other members and see what our artist can create!    Thank you to the Parrish United Methodist Church for the use of the room.  We are in the the Youth Room across the road from the church and next to the Thrift Shop.  RSVP's are appreciated so we have the right setup and supplies when needed.

Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) - these are 2.5 x 3.5 mini pieces of artwork.  We have themes for each moth below and the only rules are the size of the card.  We will exchange them each month with those that bring them.  This can also include Zines.

Some of our activities below have a supply list.  Unless noted, you will need to have your own supplies for the activity.

​

We will have some supplies at each of our gatherings to make Artfully Angel cards if you'd like.

  • May 21st - Unicorn Spit with Trish

    • Unicorn Spit is a gel stain that can be used on wood, glass, plastic and about any material you'd like.

    • You will need to bring the following supplies - 

      • paint brush

      • spray bottle

      • paper towels

      • small sponge 

    • Trish will have all other supplies.  Due to the cost of a couple of materials we are suggesting a small donation to cover that cost.  This is an individual choice.

    • ATC theme - World Laughter Day; Star Wars Day, Cinco de Mayo​

  • June 18th - Drawing Perspective with Kevin

    • Bring your drawing supplies - pencils and drawing paper.

    • ATC theme - World Sea Turtle Day; Helen Keller's birthday (create in Braille... dots with stylus)​

  • July 16th - Show and Tell

    • Bring a piece of artwork to share with the group.  You can talk about what you did or how the subject made you feel.  You can also bring something to work on if you don't want to share.

    • ATC theme - 4th of July, National Ice Cream month, Canada Day, International Tiger Day

  • Oct 15th - Holiday Cards for Vets

    • Bring your medium and supplies to create Holiday cards for Vets over seas.  PAC will have card stock, markers, stencils, paper, rubber stamps & ink, and a few more supplies that can be used.  You can also bring something to work on if you don't want to share.

    • ATC theme - TBD
