Event Guidelines 

Art Market is produced by The Parrish Arts Council, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization dedicated to promoting the arts in our community and neighboring areas.

Artist Registration:  Please submit your application and three pictures that are a representation of your artwork by using the form on this page.  

 

Acceptance & Guidelines  

• Only original artwork - No mass-produced art- unless copies by the original artist

• No explicit nudity

• No political subject matter 

 

Art Market at Prosperity Lakes showcases a wide array of art forms while maintaining a respectful environment with restrictions on subject matter. If your artwork has not adhered to these guidelines, then you will  NOT be accepted. If you have any questions, email getinvolved@parrishartscouncil.org  

 

Application Deadline: Sept 30, 2026.

Each artist must: register and agree to abide by all requirements of the Manatee County Health Department or other government regulatory agencies while operating artist’s tables at the event. ​

 

Event Marketing: Event focus is for 1,500 Prosperity Lakes residents but vendor friends and family are welcome. Please no social media posts.

 

Set-up & Breakdown: Set-up begins at 8am Saturday, October 17th. All booths must be set-up by 10am.  For the consideration of our event participants, break-down of the booths will NOT begin until 2:00pm. Artists are responsible for cleaning their area before leaving. Participation is expected for the full day.

 

Insurance: It is your responsibility to choose to carry insurance for your service. The Parrish Arts Council, event volunteers, and the Prosperity Lakes Management assume no responsibility for damaged or stolen items, any injury or other loss. Artist assumes all responsibility for and all risk of damage or injury that may occur to the applicant or its employees during participation in the Art Market at Prosperity Lakes.

 

In consideration of being accepted as an artist in the Art Market at Prosperity Lakes, the applicant hereby releases and discharges the Parrish Arts Council, its Members and Agents from all claims, demands, rights of causes of action present or future whether known, anticipated or unanticipated, and resulting from or arising out of an incident to the applicant’s participation in the Art Market at Prosperity Lakes.

All artist vendors who do not live in Prosperity Lakes will need to sign the Vendor Waiver - Assumption of Risk & Indemnity Agreement on the day of the event.

Artist Sales & Sales Tax ID: Any sales that you make at this event are yours to keep. It is your responsibility to complete your obligation of having a valid Florida Sales Tax Identification number, and pay sales tax as needed.
